It's a new year, with new forums and more exciting news!

WWDWA Inc has started back, after an extended holiday break. And I am delighted to say that the monthly forums are also back, thanks to a generous donation.

The dates for the next two forums are as follows:

Sunday 28 February

Sunday 28 March

More details will be available closer to the time both on this website and in our first newsletter. If you would like to be on our mailing list, please contact WWDWA Inc through the details on the sidebar.

Our 2008-09 Annual Report will be available soon.

In October 2009 a forum for women with disabilities in the Rockingham area was held. South Coastal Women's Health Services, the City of Rockingham, the Disability Services Commission and Women With Disabilities WA Inc all collaborated to create an opportunity for women with disabilities in Rockingham and surrounding areas to get together and talk about what was needed to improve healthcare services in Rockingham

It was a fantastic event, and I was thrilled to meet so many passionate and determined women who wanted to be involved in making changes for themselves and other women with disabilities.

They are now meeting on a regular basis down in Rockingham. I will put up more information about the meetings very soon.

This year we are looking at starting up forums in the Midland area. Stay tuned for more updates!
